• Large sheet of paper or cardboard 

• Green or white paper

• Scissors (to be used by parent/caretaker or under supervision of parent/caretaker)

• Glue or tape

• Markers or crayons

Optional: stickers, glitter, pom-poms, etc for decoration

🛠️ Instructions

• Draw a tree trunk on your large sheet or print and stick onto your large sheet of paper.

• Draw or print and cut out several leaf shapes (template provided) from green or white paper (you can colour the white leaves with crayons or markers).
  Draw or print and cut out one flower shape and one fruit shape.

• ​Engage your child in a reflection exercise (some prompts are provided below to help you get started) to identify "sprinkles of growth" - achievements, proud moments, lessons* learnt - that occurred over this academic year.

• ​Encourage both big milestones (e.g. learning to read) and small wins (e.g. packed own school bag).

• For each leaf, write one “sprinkle of growth” - achievement, proud moment or lesson your child had this year.

• On the fruit, write your greatest achievement this year.

• On the flower, write your biggest lesson this year.

• Stick the leaves onto the tree branches.

• Let your child decorate the tree with his/her own touches - maybe even add a title: “Look How I Have Grown!”
