Childhood is a time of wonder and discovery, where imagination takes flight and the world is an oasis of possibility. It is a time of carefree ecstasy - to believe in magic and have freedom to dream.
At the Ethereal Foundation, we believe that such a childhood is the inherent right of all children. Unfortunately, not all children enjoy such an experience.
Our mission is to provide the necessary support that allows children the experience of a happy childhood. Our programmes and initiatives are developed around our four-dimensional approach to holistic development - education, entertainment, empowerment and engagement - and are aligned with our core principles which focus on the CHILD.
It is our intention to give our children the best possible start in life.
Mission

Our Story
The Ethereal Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to enhancing and enriching the childhood experiences of children across Trinidad and Tobago.
The Ethereal Foundation has its roots in an informal family fund among our immediate family members, the brainchild of our late father, Tarandath Koonj Beharry. Started in 2010, while my brother and I were still in receipt of an allowance, each member of the family was encouraged to contribute within his/her means. The purpose of this initiative was to sow the seeds of empathy, compassion and charity within us.
These values constitute the hallmarks of the Ethereal Foundation which has since burgeoned from its humble beginnings as a family fund to a non-profit organisation, formerly registered in 2022 and officially launched in 2024.
Our parents, both educators, understood the significant role one's childhood plays in shaping an individual who is capable of achieving his/her full potential and contributing meaningfully to society. Fond childhood memories are at the core of the Ethereal Foundation's work and our wish for every child.

Children who experience happiness and security during their formative years are more likely to develop positive social and emotional skills, excel academically and navigate life's challenges with confidence. Moreover, a happy childhood fosters creativity and curiosity, setting the stage for lifelong learning and personal growth. By prioritising a nurturing and supportive environment for children, we not only ensure their present happiness but also empower them to thrive and contribute positively to society as they grow into compassionate, resilient and fulfilled adults, capable of making a beautiful and meaningful impression on the world.
